In 2016, I was rushed to hospital with internal bleeding - my stress levels from running a venture-capital startup compounded with an existing undiagnosed infection had lead me to my body's breaking point.
The experience made me question many things in my life - my health, my happiness and my business.
I first wrote about this in 2016 when it happened, and I'm pleased to be able to add a happy ending five years later.
This experience was a huge motivator for me discovering this very community and taking an indie approach to entrepreneurship.
I hope my story can help you with your own struggles.

I remember reading your incredible story Kyle. Unfortunately some of us need to go through health issues to find out that success was not what we were expecting.
Happy that you found your way!
Thank you Leo :)
Really nice story Kyle and thanks for sharing! I love how you finally defined success.
I fully agree with your perspective and I am happy that you found yourself through all these struggles. You turned "bad experiences" into "life learnings" that you will be always grateful for.
Congrats, keep it up and wish you all the best! ❣️
Thank you Jim :)
