60% email open rate using one keyword?

Earlier today I sent out the first issue of my premium newsletter explodingniches.com

Immediately after the broadcast, someone unsubscribed, Oops! It almost seemed like an automated action. I don't know if it was done by a bot.

However, the rest was quite insightful. Before broadcasting, I was searching online about increasing the open rate of emails. One of the articles suggested putting a number in the subject. It also coincided with the gist of my email!

So the subject read "X for Influencers. The $10B Niche". The email was about the growing niches around content creators and influencers.

Happy with how it's turning out. To be continued...

    Impressive result @daemonunderbed

I'm wondering how big is your list and what's your plan to maintain consistent result?

By the way. In the end, the open rate has settled at 60%.

    Congrats on the success!

Emojis, symbols, a single word in CAPS, and numbers are all ways to stand out in crowded inboxes. Worth testing. 🔥

Another tactic is putting Fwd: or Re: at the start of subject lines. I am not a fan though - seems deceitful. I bet open rates goes up, but trust goes down, which is counterproductive longterm.

I agree that Fwd: or Re: would be deceitful. I immediately unsubscribe to emails if I see it's really not a forward or a reply.

I like that number in subject trick! Definitely going to use that in the future!
