AI models are quietly becoming the new homepage for brands

I have been building in this space for a while and one shift keeps standing out to me.

People increasingly ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini what to buy before they ever visit a website. The model names a few brands, ranks some over others, and ignores the rest. For a lot of companies, the AI answer is now the first impression, not their homepage.

The strange part is how little control brands have over it. A model can describe you accurately, or it can put you in the wrong category, quote an old price, or hand your positioning to a competitor, and you would never know unless you went looking.

This is the problem I am working on with Strajist AI. It measures how each major AI model describes and recommends a brand, and shows where they get it wrong.

I am curious how other founders here think about this. Have you checked what the models actually say about your product? Most people I ask have not, and are a little surprised when they look.
