While I'm writing the book Analytics for Indies, I'm also having some thoughts that don't fit the book but might be interesting anyway.
The first of those is a list of lessons I've learned from billion-dollar e-commerce analytics. (I've been doing analytics at huge companies like PlayStation and Rakuten for the last 8 years.) Companies this large force you to build a practice with lots of discipline. Lessons from that can be distilled down to best practices that still work well for indies just getting started.
Topics I touch on in this post:
--Why you should measure everything you release (working on making this my version of Charge More)
--Where the low-hanging fruit is
--Where testing comes in
--Dictionaries and definitions
--Making a playbook from your process

When will you publish your book?
