Anybody have any experience with using app marketing agencies like PreApps or Moburst? They promise lots of growth, but are not cheap.
Any feedback/concerns/experience?
Do you have an existing mobile app that you're ready to bring to market? If so it would be interesting to know more about what niche you're targeting.
Also, I looked over the case studies on these company's pages and got a sense of the solutions they implement. You could do the same to help come up with ideas for how to improve your own onboarding experience (and improve adoption overall): https://www.moburst.com/client/bazz/
They explain that by gamifying the onboarding experience, the introduction to the app was 366% times more engaging. So maybe think about what you can do to make your own onboarding process better, etc :)
Thanks for the comment @Ebell.
Yes, I do have a mobile app that I relaunched last week. My niche market is language learning (I think). It's a messaging app, but it allows you to also see the conversation you are having with someone in another language as well (to the side of your regular convo), so that you can be immersed in a language you are learning, while you are communicating to someone as you usually do in your own language. It's a tool that can further aid in learning a new language.
Many users, in the Europe region, use it to speak to others who don't speak the same language as them. There's another feature that will transfer any incoming messages into your own language. So if someone sends me "Hola", I will see "Hello" on my end.
My onboarding process that explains these features could definitely use some professional help. My gap between installs and account creation is at about 71%. Which I think is pretty good, but I could be wrong. The retention afterwards is what I need to work on, and I think it's the proper explanation of the above 2 features.
Thanks for the link.

Nice, thanks for that extra information Adrian.
Language learning does seem like one of the main markets you're targeting. It also sounds like your app has a translation feature, so it might be more accurate to say that you're targeting two markets simultaneously. In this way, you could market to each crowd according to their primary intent as a purchaser.
You might also be able to define an even tighter niche if you think about this in terms of your customer demographics. For example, you might aim to serve the European market exclusively and shape your marketing content around that.
Thanks for the feedback @Ebell.
You're welcome Adrian :)

Considerations:
Agencies can provide expertise but may come at a high cost.
Evaluate their track record and client testimonials.
Ensure they align with your app's unique goals and target audience.
Clarify communication channels and reporting expectations.
