Building a reverse job board for product people (design, managers, etc.): an ideal role board.

I see endless posts on LinkedIn and Twitter that go by the waste side because we're all too burnt out to care about companies hiring, plus we each have a finite number of people in our network. Or, I get hit up by recruiters for roles that I would never be interested in, or companies I know I would never work for (ahem Facebook).

Companies spend lots of time and money wasted on recruiting by contacting uninterested candidates, what if they could go right to a place to find people that want to do what the company needs? Also, recruiting is riddled with bias -- what if all you went by was what a person did, and what they wanted.

Isn't there a better way? I built an MVP site where product people can tell companies what they want to be doing --> https://myperfectjob.club/

I'd love any feedback y'all have, as well as if you would create your profiles on here.

Great idea! The badges on the recently added users are easiest to skim while the rest blends a bit - would consider placing more emphasis on other things within the card such as title and years of experience.

Thank you! I do agree with you it's a bit noisy, so I'll try out a few different ways to show these off; thank you again so much! If you're in product, or want to, why not create a free profile?

Think it's a great idea, like the site too, how do you get the critical mass to make it compelling to both sides?

Thank you! I do think it's an interesting opportunity, but as you noted the chicken & egg issue. I'm trying to solve it early on by grassrooting it now (hitting up coworkers, networks I'm in, etc.). Need enough supply for recruiters/hiring folks to be interested in it.

Want to create a profile by any chance??

All done, you planning on adding some filters? I don't see location on any profiles?

        1. 1

Yeah, I have logic set to start to show some of these when there is a certain amount of profiles published. I had location hidden but added it back in as an optional field for candidates to put on there if they want to =)

          Thank you, you're published now!
