Building Truedoit – a simple freelancer dashboard (tasks + clients + invoices)

I’m building Truedoit, a lightweight dashboard for freelancers who want to manage tasks, clients, and invoices without juggling multiple apps.
I noticed most tools are either:
• Task-only
• Accounting-only
• Or too complex
So I’m building something simple, focused, and actually usable daily.
Currently offering 9 months of Premium free for early users.
Would love feedback from fellow builders & freelancers.
I like the task-only vs accounting-only framing because that split is real. I tried running client work across Trello, Stripe, and then ChaseFlow for the reminder-2 follow-up piece, lol it really is three separate jobs unless somebody narrows the stack. If Truedoit stays lightweight, that simplicity angle could land well with freelancers.

I spent some time going through Truedoit and it’s clear a lot of thought went into the product itself. The tools are solid and genuinely useful for freelancers.
From a brand storytelling perspective though, the site leans heavily into listing features, but the emotional story of why Truedoit exists gets a bit lost. Freelancers don’t just want tools, they want relief from chaos, forgotten tasks, awkward invoicing, and scattered client work.
With a clearer narrative, less repetition, and stronger outcome-driven messaging, Truedoit could feel less like a tool catalog and more like a product that truly “gets” freelancers.

You’re absolutely right about the storytelling gap. I’ve been very focused on solving real workflow problems for freelancers and, in the process, leaned too much into listing features instead of clearly communicating the emotional relief freelancers are actually looking for — less chaos, all in one tool, and smoother invoicing.
