Combatting 'Zoom Fatigue' as a virtual event organiser

I don't know if you've heard this term 'Zoom Fatigue' already but it refers to the fatigue a lot of people are experiencing from constantly being in front of the laptop in virtual meetings or webinars.

I've definitely experienced this one too many times. I have also noticed that the events where I pay the most attention in often have hte following elements to them:

  1. They don't have a set presentation
  2. The entire event is setup as a 'conversation'
  3. If there is a talk then it's limited to 15 mins ~
  4. The Q&A segment and interactivity is the biggest chunk 60% of the event min.

So if you're planning a webinar soon then maybe take these points into consideration could be helpful.

Host a conversation not a lecture.

If hosting virtual events is a customer / user acquisition channel for you then the Q&A / interactive session is your best friend.

I'm building a Q&A platform focusing on two important things. User experience for attendees and ROI for event organisers.
