Do you find that email-based courses increase your conversion rates for purchases?

I'm interested in learning more about email-based courses that are timed, automated and self-service to the user like: https://www.designacademy.io/ (i.e. learn the fundamentals of design in 6 days with a new lesson each day).

If you've done one, can you explain how you created it, and whether or not it had a positive impact on the conversion rates for whatever you were trying to sell when someone went through the course?

Not for purchase. But I can see significant improvement on other key metrics.

I’ve created a 6 weeks onboarding / educational email content on MailChimp for a startup that I’m leading. There’s a specific topic each week and clear call to action for sign ups/ create profiles etc.

    Key takeaways:

    1. Make it personalized, like how you communicate with a person
    2. Keep it clean, don’t over edit, less images or other visual elements (will affect your spam rate)
    3. One (max. Two) call to action per email

That's good to know. So the course you created was educational beyond just how to use your product?

Thanks for your patience. Been away for a while. Still, a long way to be considered as a course, but we're going into this direction.

Yes, mainly for onboarding purposes. Once a week, bit-sized content to help our users get ready for the product. Of coz, we've included some blurbs to upsell other services.
