Documented 6 months in dark web credential markets - thought IH would find this interesting

Hey IH 👋

So we've been deep in underground forums and Telegram channels for the past 6 months researching how credentials actually get stolen and sold.

Decided to write up everything we learned because honestly, most people (including founders) have zero idea this economy exists.

Full post here: https://qr.ae/pCFaWk

Quick summary:

We watched thousands of transactions go down:

- GitHub repos with years of work: $25

- AWS credentials: $50-200

- Coinbase logins: $850

- Startup founder's entire stack: $500

The wild part? 70% don't come from the big corporate breaches you hear about. They come from silent malware that copies everything from your browser and sells it within 48 hours.

Some crazy stuff we saw:

Someone's entire SaaS admin panel access got listed for $150. Another person's Stripe dashboard. Tons of GitHub accounts with private repos.

Buyers range from script kiddies to actual ransomware gangs looking for corporate entry points.

Wrote the full breakdown on Quora:

- How the markets operate

- Actual prices we tracked

- Who's buying and why

- How credentials flow from infection to sale

- What you can actually do about it

Figured the IH crowd would find this useful since we're all targets (developers = valuable accounts).

Drop questions if you want to know more about what we found. Spent way too much time in these markets.
