November 9, 2025 Documented 6 months in dark web credential markets - thought IH would find this interesting

Hey IH 👋

So we've been deep in underground forums and Telegram channels for the past 6 months researching how credentials actually get stolen and sold.

Decided to write up everything we learned because honestly, most people (including founders) have zero idea this economy exists.

Full post here: https://qr.ae/pCFaWk

Quick summary:

We watched thousands of transactions go down:

- GitHub repos with years of work: $25

- AWS credentials: $50-200

- Coinbase logins: $850

- Startup founder's entire stack: $500

The wild part? 70% don't come from the big corporate breaches you hear about. They come from silent malware that copies everything from your browser and sells it within 48 hours.

Some crazy stuff we saw:

Someone's entire SaaS admin panel access got listed for $150. Another person's Stripe dashboard. Tons of GitHub accounts with private repos.

Buyers range from script kiddies to actual ransomware gangs looking for corporate entry points.

Wrote the full breakdown on Quora:

- How the markets operate

- Actual prices we tracked

- Who's buying and why

- How credentials flow from infection to sale

- What you can actually do about it

Figured the IH crowd would find this useful since we're all targets (developers = valuable accounts).

Drop questions if you want to know more about what we found. Spent way too much time in these markets.

November 9, 2025 Launching Traclea on Black Friday - We track what breach checkers miss

Hey IH 👋

Spent the last 6 months building Traclea and we're launching Black Friday.

The problem we're solving:

Most breach checkers only scan corporate email leaks. but 50+ malware families are stealing credentials from infected devices and selling them on dark web markets within 48 hours.

nobody sees it coming. your GitHub account gets compromised, your AWS keys leak, your Vercel project is exposed and your breach checker says "all clear ✅"

Why this matters to founders/devs:

Your personal laptop gets infected. malware grabs:

- GitHub credentials

- AWS/Vercel/Railway keys

- Stripe dashboard logins

- Company Slack accounts

- Database credentials saved in browser

Sold for $5-20. someone now has access to your entire stack.

Happened to a friend. his startup's database got wiped because his GitHub was compromised from stealer malware. he had no idea until it was too late.

What we built:

Traclea monitors usernames (not just emails) across 2,000+ breaches and 50+ active malware families.

We track:

- dev tools (GitHub, GitLab, AWS, Vercel, Railway, Render)

- gaming accounts (Steam, Discord, Epic)

- crypto wallets (Coinbase, MetaMask, Binance)

- social media (for marketing/community)

real-time alerts when YOUR credentials appear anywhere.

Pricing:

- free forever plan (1 email, 1 username)

- premium $1.99/mo (more capacity, API access)

- business/enterprise plans for teams

Launch details:

- launching: Black Friday (Nov 28)

- special: first 1,000 waitlist = free Individual Basic plan for 1 month

- link: traclea.com/coming-soon

What I'd love feedback on:

1. pricing too low? too high? we wanted to make it accessible

2. would you use username monitoring for your dev accounts?

3. what other platforms should we prioritize?

Happy to answer any questions about us!

19 days to launch. 🚀

About

As we were tired of watching other data breach monitoring tools not showing infostealer details in the leak which are the major threat today for not just businesses but individuals too.
