[Estonia E-residency question] Does anyone have their business run through their Estonia e-residency? What are the Up/down sides to that?

So I started reading about Estonia E-residency and it seems very interesting especially for indie hacks IMO. I would love folks to tell us their stories if they had used it to build their business!

I looked into it pretty extensively. E-residency is useful for anyone who lives in a country that doesn't have decent access to the Western banking system, and wants to easily invoice clients (say, if you're from Kenya or Uzbekistan).

Otherwise, it doesn't save any costs (you're taxed on top of your existing rates and you have to hire an Estonian accounting company) and there is no tangible value for the e-residency. It doesn't give you any other benefits.

      What's the tax rate?

      do you suggest other schemes?
I found the flexibility of it very attractive (although I'm still trying to figure out how to structure my company there; my case is very specific, I'm a EU resident (DK), and I'm not allowed to open a company in DK due to my work permit, so Estonia's looked pretty easy, at least as a first timer).

Since many of those topics are old, but people are still looking into them, I opened an AMA thread for anybody interested. Let's gather all questions there to make it easier for everybody else.
