Every marketing channel has an API-first intelligence tool, except YouTube. Until now.

BrightBean is a YouTube Intelligence API built for developers and AI agents, not another dashboard.

The gap we're filling

Every marketing vertical has API-first intelligence tools. SEO has Semrush API and DataForSEO. Social has Phyllo and Modash. YouTube? Nothing. The YouTube Data API v3 gives you raw metrics but zero intelligence, no scoring, no optimization signals, no content gap analysis.

Meanwhile vidIQ has 20M users and TubeBuddy has 10M. Developers have been begging both for API access (we found 20+ 1-star reviews on G2 and Chrome Web Store specifically complaining about this). Neither has shipped one.

What BrightBean does

REST API, CLI + MCP server with endpoints for:

  • Content gap analysis: Find high-demand YouTube search topics with few quality videos

  • Title and Thumbnail scoring

  • Hook analysis

  • Channel benchmarking

Think of it as the intelligence layer developers can plug into their own tools, agents, and workflows.

Where we are right now

We're in early validation. Landed 2,100+ visitors and 34 email signups from cold traffic (Reddit, Twitter). Zero revenue yet, being honest about that. Currently building the MVP while continuing to test demand signals across developer communities and MCP directories.

What's next

Shipping a working API to our waitlist, getting feedback, and iterating fast. I'll be building in public here, sharing real numbers, decisions, and mistakes along the way.

If you're building anything that touches YouTube data, creator tools, marketing automation, AI agents, I'd love to hear what data or intelligence you wish you had access to.
