BrightBean
Socials and SEO on autopilot with AI agents
Most AI marketing tools treat content creation like a raw volume game. They churn out generic, unanchored posts that have never read your style guide, and they have no idea if what they published actually performed well.
We wanted to fix that. We are building BrightBean—an AI-native self-improving marketing setup designed to run content operations on autopilot without losing your unique brand voice.
Instead of starting from scratch on every prompt, BrightBean operates around a shared "Brand Brain". It reads your website, documents, and social profiles to build a central repository of your brand identity, messaging, target ICPs, and style rules. It maps all of this out in an interactive knowledge graph.
When you draft blog posts or social campaigns, BrightBean writes specifically from this Brain.
And here is the critical loop: it connects back to your actual performance data. By tracking post analytics, follower growth, and GA4/Google Search Console metrics, BrightBean updates its internal memory to learn what resonates—making the next batch of drafts smarter.
---
What’s fully built and ready to use:
* The Brand Brain Explorer: A searchable file tree and interactive graph showing exactly what context, rules, and topics your AI uses.
* Direct Multi-Channel Social Publishing: Connect and schedule directly to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, Mastodon, and Google Business.
* SEO & Blog Engine: Seed 30 days of keyword-optimized blog topics, draft full posts with styled images, check for keyword cannibalization, and publish directly to your site.
* A Human-in-the-Loop Setup: brightBean is strictly draft-and-review. The AI proposes content and updates, but a person always reviews and approves before anything goes live.
* Cross-Account Analytics: Monitor social metrics, Search Console visibility, and brand performance in a single home dashboard.

The Beta Offer: White-Glove Onboarding + Lifetime Discount
We are looking for a small group of solo founders, agency owners, or small marketing teams to test the platform. Because getting brand context right is the hardest part of marketing automation, we want to help you do it.
If you join our beta cohort, we are offering:
1. Full Access: Complete access to all core platform features.
2. White-Glove Onboarding: We will jump on a call with you, ingest your brand's style guides, help you construct your Brand Brain, connect your channels, and get your first week of campaigns scheduled.
3. Founder Discount for Life: When we introduce our premium tiers, you will keep a heavily discounted grandfathered price forever.
If you are looking to cut down the manual complexity of running your socials and SEO, and want a setup that actually learns from its own output, we would love to set you up.
Let us know if you are interested.

I do social media management for a handful of local businesses as a side hustle. Six clients, about 40 posts a week across their accounts.
The tool costs were killing my margins. I was paying $480/month between two platforms, and every time I added a client, the bill went up because of per-workspace pricing. The work was profitable. The tools weren't.
So I built my own. Then I open-sourced it.
BrightBean Studio is a self-hostable social media management platform. It publishes to 12 platforms, has a visual calendar, approval workflows, a unified inbox, and unlimited workspaces and users. Basically the same feature set you'd get from Buffer or Hootsuite's paid tiers.
I run it on a Hetzner VPS for about €10/month. That's my entire tool cost now.
I went open-source instead of SaaS because I don't want to run a SaaS. The support tickets, the billing plumbing, the compliance stuff, being someone's mission-critical vendor as a solo dev. None of that appeals to me. Open-sourcing lets me build in public, get contributions, and eventually offer managed hosting without the pressure of day-one reliability promises.
The plan going forward is a managed cloud version for people who don't want to self-host. The open-source version will always be the full product, no feature holdbacks. Same model as GitLab. The hosted version will most likely be free since I do have the hosting costs anyways for my own deployment, no need to charge anyone extra.
Has anyone here gone the open-core or source-available route? What worked? What would you do differently?

BrightBean is a YouTube Intelligence API built for developers and AI agents, not another dashboard.
The gap we're filling
Every marketing vertical has API-first intelligence tools. SEO has Semrush API and DataForSEO. Social has Phyllo and Modash. YouTube? Nothing. The YouTube Data API v3 gives you raw metrics but zero intelligence, no scoring, no optimization signals, no content gap analysis.
Meanwhile vidIQ has 20M users and TubeBuddy has 10M. Developers have been begging both for API access (we found 20+ 1-star reviews on G2 and Chrome Web Store specifically complaining about this). Neither has shipped one.
What BrightBean does
REST API, CLI + MCP server with endpoints for:
Content gap analysis: Find high-demand YouTube search topics with few quality videos
Title and Thumbnail scoring
Hook analysis
Channel benchmarking
Think of it as the intelligence layer developers can plug into their own tools, agents, and workflows.
Where we are right now
We're in early validation. Landed 2,100+ visitors and 34 email signups from cold traffic (Reddit, Twitter). Zero revenue yet, being honest about that. Currently building the MVP while continuing to test demand signals across developer communities and MCP directories.
What's next
Shipping a working API to our waitlist, getting feedback, and iterating fast. I'll be building in public here, sharing real numbers, decisions, and mistakes along the way.
If you're building anything that touches YouTube data, creator tools, marketing automation, AI agents, I'd love to hear what data or intelligence you wish you had access to.
