February 2022 Income Report: $895.66 (+46.31%)

What was different in February?

I am completely focused on my TypeScript course. We launched the first version this last month. It’s a free email course and you can sign up here. There is no paid product yet but there will be later this year.

I am surprised at the number for Vim for VSCode, especially since the main link on my Twitter is the TS course. That means the blog posts I wrote are paying off I guess?

I also launched a new initiative called a talent collective. Basically, engineers or folks looking for jobs can join the collective for free. We connect them directly with companies. And then companies can pay to get access to our talent pool ($150/month). It’s an experiment so we’ll see how it goes!

Side Income Breakdown

  • $190.58 from @egghead-io royalties
  • $590.00 from Vim for VSCode course sales (before fees) on Convert Kit Commerce
  • $28.28 from Vim for VSCode course sales (before fees) on Flurly
  • $86.80 job board

Total: $895.66

Total (year-to-date): $1,507.80
