Feedback for My Landing Page...Again.

Hey,

Last time I posted about my landing page for the dictionary I wrote.

https://www.indiehackers.com/post/does-my-landing-page-make-sense-2ed0f33c40

I took the feedback and updated my website. I'm wondering if the message is starting to be come clear?

I am still working on the call to action component, mostly to star the software and increase awareness of chemical products.

Hey Sulstice, that's a great idea.

    here are my 2 cents

The background and text are similar in color and are hard to read. Especially the buttons because of the thin borders and font.

Another thing on the first fold is the headline that keeps changing.

How is moves and deletes the words and then rewrites them is a very distracting and the headline doesn't do it's job in conveying the message.

Buttons are also lost in the background and there are too many options available.

I've tested 1 button vs 2 buttons a bunch of times and the success of each depends on audience, traffic, and offer. But I'd recommend to only have at most 2 buttons.

Here's the thing with the content above the fold (the very first screen users see when they land on your website).

    It has to:

    • tell the user what you product is
    • tell the user how it helps them or a cause
    • show the user a preview of the product or show a lifestyle image that visually represents what the product/service is all about. Some future pacing or at least something for the user to "vibe" with
    • call to action to participate (one or two buttons)

My recommendations for the content above the fold are

    • move the headline and buttons on the left (never use justify center as it's hard to read)
    • only keep at most 2 buttons (1x sign-up, 1x watch demo) under the text
    • use one full body colour buttons.
    • change the background so the headline and buttons can be visible
    • add some sort of image or graphic that is representative of the product/service on the right

In the very next section, the content is actually great. It's the right type of content at the right moment on the page for your service.

But it needs some graphic revamping.

2 columns of content on the page CAN WORK and is frequently used in the direct response marketing space.

In this specific case you have the call to action button right under the techy specs of the product.

Having it under the Mission Statement will have a bigger impact because it triggers emotions and people can relate to the mission. But not really to how many lines of codes are being written.

I find the content great. But it needs some graphical pimpin'. Like more screenshots from the tool, or some graphs and charts. Something visual.

The following sections are also great. But focus on the 2 sections mentioned above. Those have the highest conversion rates.

    Hope this helps!
