Feedback - just launched!

After over one year of development, I have launched https://found.dev
The website you see is only a small part of the complete project. The biggest part of the code is in the dashboard for developers and companies.

I will be happy to hear both the feedback of the "public website" and/or of the dashboard. In exchange, I can help by :

  • Giving you my feedback about your website/project
  • If you are a company looking for developers, give you a free subscription.

For registering as a developer, just go to https://dash.found.dev

Thanks!

A few points I'd like to make...

    1. Let me know ahead of time that it invites only or still in testing.

"Found.dev is starting. We are letting in only a few hand-picked developers and companies. Do you want to join? Write us at [email protected] and tell us about yourself."

You should drop that pop-up and just have the button state "Request an Invite", I and many other potential users are not going to write an email for an invite. Just push my email into a marketing list and when you are ready to invite, it's done.

    1. Nothing about the design invites me to sign up or understand more about your product easily.

You only have so much time in a first impression. Make it count and be precise with what you wish to say.

Now if you don't mind, I'd like to take you up on that offer about returning the favor of Landing Page feedback: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/feedback-for-my-landing-page-for-a-discovery-platform-5e82b820b6

      Hi Sodux,

Thank you very much for your feedback! You are absolutely right and now I feel kind of silly that I didn't think of that before. Specially that with the "request an invite".

I will happily review your website and come back to you tomorrow with my feedback.

        No problem, glad to help.

I'm a dev, and my main question after looking at the landing page is how is this different to all the other job boards and portals out there (I saw you answered this in a question below - ideally the landing page should answer this itself)? The home page could do with some more detail I feel.

The jobs page has a really nice look to it and is really responsive - nice one! 👍

Yes, you are definitely right. I am working on a FAQ as well as improving the explanations overall.

      Thanks for your feedback!

    Hi Antonio,

Visually I like what I see. Clean cut, trustworthy colors and very well organized layout.

May I ask, what’s your unique selling point compared to other job ad platforms?

      Hi Kennethj,

Thank you very much for taking the time to revise my web and your feedback.

I have been asked this question a lot today, so I guess I will have to explain this better… But the  truth is, that the product is still only an MVP. That means, there are many features planned, but not all of them are already developed. I was trying to first see what users want before deciding myself which features to implement and how to differentiate found.dev from other competitors…

For now, the only difference is that, for developers, it will be more "open" that other platforms:

      • Everyone can create a developer profile. There won't be any selection process to decide if you can join or not like in other platforms. The only requisite will be that you are an actual developer.
      • Every developer will have its own public URL (if they want to). For instance, in your case, this could be: found.dev/me/kennethj
