Fellow Hackers! MVP Finally Up :) Is It Convincing?

1. It looks like you provide training to junior developers.

2. The whole page is very "salesy" - which as a single landing page isn't a bad thing. However first impression when landing was that I had two timers. One at the top, and one fixed at the bottom - it negatively drew me away from reading the content. I think it would be better with only one countdown.

3. I purposely only read it once so I could come back here with real feedback from a 30 second first impression. I can't remember feeling like there was anything overly unique other than it targeted junior developer growth specifically.

4. Some of the language wasn't quite right. You spoke about "codes" but it should be "code".

Things I like...

• straight to the point
• human faces were great for first impressions
• great user testimonials

Things I wasn't so sure on...

• the header fonts weren't easy to read
• it reminded me of one of those diet plan websites, perhaps a bit to salesy. Maybe focus more on the benefits to the person reading?

Site is very slow to load. In fact, I couldn't load it the first time. I had to refresh the page to get it to load. Here are my comments:

1. You have clarified your target audience well - junior developers. One question I would have is does it matter what kind of developers? For e.g. full-stack developers, Java developers, .Net developers, or it doesn't matter?

2. Are you targeting developers in the US or some other country? While English grammar is correct, I can feel that it's not written by a native English speaker. Am I wrong?

3. I hate the timers, especially if they are fake. Also it makes the whole page look like a sleazy sales page. But it's possible that you get better conversion with timer, so make sure to A/B test. Also you have the timer at the bottom. You don't need the timer at the top of the page above the title.

4. At first glance, I can't figure out what exactly are you teaching in the courses? There should be a way to browse the courses that you offer.

5. The only reason people will buy from you as compared to other courses is if they believe that you are an expert. You need to have more information about yourself and your accomplishments a little on the top, not at the bottom of the page.

6. Why should I pay you a monthly recurring fee when I can buy a course from Udemy for $10 and I can keep it forever? Your page doesn't answer this question.

Here is my $0.02:

1. The biggest issue with the page IMO is it talks about you and your course. Ideally, a great landing page talks about user and their problems. What are they struggling with? Like "Your first step towards careers in Web and App Development Should be with an experienced Tutor who can provide personalized attention"- something like that
2. I think as a beginner programmer one would like to know what they can achieve by using the software. Your page doesn't talk about that in detail or if it does, it's not obvious immediately.
3. The fonts etc. should be standardized (you can look at other great landing pages). Usually, great landing pages have very clean fonts. Avoid too many fonts and styles and focus on just 2-3.

Hey congrats on the launch. Few points:

1. Very sales focused. It threw me off a bit.
2. Timer didn't really push me to action. Maybe because I'm not your target customer but potentially I'd need a bit of a freebie to give you my contact details. Potentially a free starter course would get your leads to share their details with you. Then you can look into converting them into paying customers.
3. There's a lot to digest on the front page. It could potentially help to see which parts of your landing page have the biggest impact on your session to signup conversion by showing them selectively (AB testing) to parts of your audience. Optimise.google.com is an easy way to do this.
