From Intro to Action - My First Week on Indie Hackers

Last week I shared my intro and launched the product page for My Morning Brief — an AI tool that turns your email and calendar into a short daily podcast so you can start the day informed without scrolling.

This week I’ve been:

  • Setting up my builder board

  • Replying to early comments

  • Inviting a few early testers to try the MVP

Here’s what I’m learning already:

  • Indie Hackers is very conversation-driven. Replying keeps your post alive way longer.

  • People are curious about the workflow behind the idea, not just the shiny end result.

  • Going from building in the basement to actually putting it out into the world feels like a cold plunge - shocking initially but also refreshing and energizing.

What’s next:

  • Recruit 3–5 testers this week

  • Post my first milestone update

  • Keep refining the MVP’s onboarding (even if is still a bit clunky)

If you’ve built an MVP here before, how did you find your first testers?
