I love to share the 3D Metal Printer project: www.patreon.com/3dmetalprinter
Is a low cost 3D Metal Printer for developing and low income countries, using an electron beam to sinter the metal powder

The goal is to make 3D Metal Printing more affordable to the general public, hospitals, small institutions, organizations and companies around the world. Specifically for developing and low income countries. This project fills a gap that no open hardware successfully fills.
3D Metal Printing is an impactful tool. Making it more accessible will democratize science, engineering and empower people. This low-cost hardware will be able to accelerate innovations in and lower barriers to scientific research.

For hospitals located away from major cities, 3D Metal Printing will be practical when supplies run low. This is especially important in farming communities where patients from the nearby fields who come in with work-related injuries could be outfitted with custom splints that are 3D Metal Printed as needed.

Entrepreneurs will benefit from this project. Especially early stage entrepreneurs that are not yet financially secure enough to easily afford a 3D Metal Printer. Increasing access for these entrepreneurs ensures greater representation and impact, paving pathways to get these deep-tech innovations more efficiently into the market. Adopting open-source approaches play a key role in this process. The 3D Metal Printer design, plans, videos, schematics will be open and free for any person in the world.

you are amazing, how do you build this, I mean, could I be able to build it like yours? (I from CS background, don't know a thing about electronic manufacturing at all)

      1. 2

I'm working so you can have a step-by-step instructions how to make your own 3D Metal Printer.
The goal is to make 3D Metal Printing more affordable to the general public, hospitals, small institutions, organizations and companies around the world.

The design, tests, updates, will be shared so I can receive some support and continue working 100% in this project

    2. 2

Yooo this is amazing! Are you building an ALM machine???

      1. 2

Yes!. I have been working the last 5 years in this 3D Metal Printer. Now I'm opening the project to the community to receive some support :)

I make a flashcard app for Mac and iOS called Fresh Cards.

Starting a few weeks ago, I've really been trying to improve my marketing and messaging. Earlier this month I got to the point where I was not selling even a single copy. (I had been averaging maybe one copy a day previously.) I realized I had to make a change with respect to messaging the app.

The landing page is now a more direct, confident, and colorful than it used to be. There's still more I want to do to improve it, but this week I'm focusing on coding again. I'm trying to do the one week coding, one week marketing thing so I make sure I don't spend time just adding features no one knows about. (Honestly, the change in tactics to try to up my marketing game was a little stressful since it's not a skill I'm good at. I'm getting better at it, though!)

My current strategy is to work backwards from marketing to features. That is, when I come up with an idea for a feature, I immediately ask how I can market it. How can I communicate the feature and its usefulness to potential users? If the feature isn't easy to craft as a marketing message, it's probably not worth my time.

Additionally, if I come up with many features that can be easily crafted, I should dole them out slowly. For instance, I'm working on an update for next week and have two awesome new features that I can roll out. However, there is no need to release both new features in that update! I can hold off on the second one for the following release as that will give me something to market for that update.

I highly recommend thinking in terms of "marketing first" as it will change how you plan your product development.

  7. 2

HeyI I just actually updated today my project today! I'm building a open-source knowledge graph for common chemical lists to perform drug candidate selection.

We're building a high-level project management tool and blogging about it as we go: https://www.expectedbehavior.com/building-burndown/

I'm personally focused on idea/product validation right now. Doing lots of interviews with project managers, small business owners, and CTOs.

My biggest takeaway so far is that most people are fine spending hours every week "managing" a project when I think they could be working on the actual project instead. As a business community we've just accepted that process and technology can't help.

We believe that Burndown can help. Not yet confident anyone else will agree though.

    Our Web Site Assistant

"Our Web Site Assistant will automatically check your public web page content for common issues like broken links, missing images and much more. Keep your visitors happy with a fast loading & fully working website."

In other words, its a multi-function online tool for small marketing teams to help keep an eye on their CMS based website and aid with caching so pages load quickly.

Tonights plan is logging any javascript sections found in the page so that if new scripts are found then the site owner can be alerted, in case of site hacks or un-intended, or if blocks have been removed then this action can be confirmed as intended.

Yes, I made it in 6 hours before posting here, and I thought I would make it perfect later; I first launched this thing.
