Hiring: Frontend Software Engineer for INDX
About INDX:
At INDX, we’re on a mission to empower continuous learning.
It has never been easier to learn from freely available content. But, the burden of learning is entirely on the consumer. We are overwhelmed with content. Even though we consume impactful podcasts, articles and videos, we don't have a way to share and discover content as part of a community.
INDX makes it easy to curate and share the best content to learn with friends. We think of it as Pinterest for learning.
We’ve built an iOS app and have an engaged early community of users. The app is currently in a public beta and we’re expanding some of our features into a web app.
We just raised a pre-seed round and are looking to add a talented, enthusiastic person to our engineering team!
Experience and Fit:
- Knowledge of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML/CSS)
- Experience developing rich applications with HTML/CSS/JS
- Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device development
- Experience debugging interesting problems
- Experience building responsive web applications
- Hands-on design experience
- A focus on building delightful user experiences
- Ability to take an iterative approach when experimenting with new ideas and features
- A passionate generalist who likes to be involved in all aspects of the product
- Entrepreneurial drive with an ability to adapt in an innovative and fast-paced environment
What you’ll have the opportunity to work on:
- Build a web application based on existing mobile app features
- Lay the technical foundation for future features
- Immediate features to expand:
- Sharing of public collections so users can seamlessly share content collections on the web
- Sharing of social profile so others can see content recommendations
