I want to get validation for a couple of ideas. I've learned recently that the best validation is when people pay you real money before you've even created the product.
So, I want to create a landing page and try to do some pre-sales. I was thinking of setting up Stripe and letting people pay to my personal Stripe account so I don't waste time setting up a new entity for something that might not pan-out.
But how do I handle the Terms & Conditions? I assume that if people are to pay, I would some kind of Terms & Conditions.
Do I put my own name in them? (This seems a bit risky)
Do I put the website's URL instead? (This seems a bit fishy)
How have other solo-founders handled this at the early stages? I don't want to waste time and I don't want to expose myself to unreasonable liability.
I may be overthinking it. But I would appreciate any feedback or advice 🙏
Basecamp post theirs on github. Free to reuse. Just pull the parts that apply to your business. https://github.com/basecamp/policies
As for name I would put whatever is going to appear or close resemblance to what will appear on their credit card statement. Help avoid chargebacks.
Love basecamp - and their policies actually aren't that boring to read :)
Good input about the credit card statement - suppose it is best if its explicit
PandaDoc is the answer. Give a try :)
I used it for all my projects. Works so well!
Thanks didn't know about this - will definitely check it out
Hey, Jake!
I've honestly had a great experience using https://app-privacy-policy-generator.nisrulz.com/
However, I also don't know how compliant it is.
Hey Joshua this look handy - at the very least its a good place to start from. Thanks 👍
