How do you identify the keywords on your website?

Hello everyone!

Keywords play an essential role in the success of your website's SEO. But how do you identify them? Let's dive into it!

1. Brainstorm

Think about the words or phrases your customers might use to find your website. Try to put yourself in their shoes. It's a straightforward but effective starting point.

2. Use SEO Tools

There are many SEO tools available, like Google Keyword Planner, SEMRush, and Ahrefs, that can help you determine which keywords are most effective for your website.

3. Check Out the Competition

Take a look at what keywords your competitors are using. This can give you a good idea of what might also work for you.

4. Test and Tweak

SEO is not a one-time thing, it requires constant tweaking and testing. Keep an eye on your website's performance and adjust your keywords as needed.

However, we have a more effective solution for you - SEOAI(seoai.run)! SEOAI is a tool designed to detect keywords on web pages and assign them a score, thus aiding you in optimizing your website content. It's free for everyone to use for checking.

I have started looking for what users are searching in my niche and write articles based on the questions or FAQs I find in Google

It also might be a good idea to go after keywords that have a bit lower volume, but are easier to rank high for. Often these are searches that are a little longer. You can create multiple variants of a page that targets different searches and audiences to accumulate to a meaningful amount of traffic.

Especially useful when you're active in a crowded space with a lot of competitors where it's hard to rank above them. No magic bullet, but just another tip to become visible to your audience.

Search queries on Google search console can be of huge potential. You can easily extract queries for specific pages that people are searching from GSC!

One of the way you can do it is to first understand what kind of problem words your audience can use and keep them in the main line of the landing page.

Keyword research is a simple but often difficult concept. Simple from the surface view but hard to do it right. I could remember someone using this analogy to explain meditation to me <3. But that's the reality. I plan on sharing keyword research tips here in due time. Dropped my first note here SAAS gap on something related

Can your whole website be focused on one keyword?

for example my product is review management, can the whole website have the keyword of review management?

    1. 2

      Short answer: No

Long answer with context: It's more nuanced than that!

Google tries to show the best content for each query, and they define "best" by content that comprehensively addresses the intent behind the search term and content with authority (age of site, links, performance on search all contribute here)

A keyword like "review management" is extremely broad, and it's impossible for every page on your site to target it. But the niches afford more content types (and individual pages to target it), for example:

      • Review management platform (home page, or feature page)
      • Yelp review management platform (feature page)
      • Best review management platforms (blog post/listicle - could niche down by industry)
      • Why you need a platform to manage reviews (blog post)
      • The ultimate guide to review management for restaurants (pillar page)

Rather than think of it as "I have a keyword let me place it on these pages and hope I rank" I recommend you think of it as "I have a product that solves a problem for a specific type of customer - what are they searching for related to my product and what questions do they ask online about it?"

From experience, this leads to a much higher chance of success with SEO and content creation.
