How do you market a product to developers?

Hi everyone,

Some context: I've been in B2B marketing for the past 10 years, successfully scaling startups. But there's one audience I can't crack - developers.

I'm publishing useful, SEO optimized content, engaging on reddit, occasionally dropping a slightly promo post in their communities but I can't seem to get any real traction.

Has anyone figured out a go-to-market strategy for developers?
What are the best-performing channels?

Thanks

Is Reddit not performing well for this? I have recently been experimenting using Surfkey.io by @JohanCutych to find relevant threads and comments to engage on and it worked like a charm.
