How do you perform User Interviews?

Hey everyone,

I hope you all are good and sound.

So, I have noticed that a lot of users of my product, Designtack, don’t come back again to use the product once they try it. There is only a small percentage of users who actually create content often using Designtack.

Thus, I have decided to ask them about it but I am not sure what would be the right approach to do it. Should I just send a broadcast to all of them, maybe with some sort of an offer? How do you actually perform user interviews?

I would love to hear your thoughts and your experiences about it.

Best Regards,

Your product either isn't solving a problem for users, or some other product does it better. User don't tend to stop using things that are genuinely helping them out. Price is (almost) inconsequential for this. It either adds value or it doesn't.

I'm not trying to be harsh, just keeping it real.

You could survey the users that are using it consistently and figure out why they are, maybe pivot your value proposition to be more in alignment with this subset of users.

I understand. Maybe they are not getting enough value from it as I expected. Thank you for the feedback though.

I wouldn't give up all hope. We had this problem, but the solution was adding a half dozen features.
My answer to your main question, cold outreach. Email 50 - 100 a week and try and schedule a call. You'll learn a tonne and you can target your perfect customer.

Indeed, that is something I can perform for upcoming weeks.

Thank you so much, @oli_typified and @c0nsilience
