How do you run referral program?

I am currently offering 25% lifetime bonus for referred clients. But one of my recent discussions got me a question -- do they get something if their referrer introduces new clients? So it is kind of second level referrer.

Wondering if anyone does something like that? What is your take on this?

I'd be interested to know how your affiliate program is working out so far? Is it worth the hassle as I'm considering starting one.

I am just starting as well. And it is more like a friend of mine asked for it. So will keep you updated on the progress.

You don't have to use them if you don't want to, but you can check out the resources on Referral Candy.

Good question. We try to keep it simple. We pay commission for direct referrals only.
If not then, would you pay commission for the referral of referral of Nth referral... ? :).

That is, first level referrer gets 25%, second level referrer gets 10%, third level gets 5%, etc... Even if you stop at second level, you are giving up big chunk of margin.

Good point regarding keeping it simple. That is my main concern. For sure, 35% of revenue is a lot.
