How I Got 3 IH Posts On The Homepage At Once (And What I Gained From It)

Hi (once again) Indiehackers! August has been an awesome month for me on IH, I've enjoyed interacting with you all, and appreciate all the support and love you've given my 2 products (tryjello.com and findaitools.co)

This morning when i checked my IH inbox, i noticed something on the homepage 😯

All 3 of my posts were front and center! 🤩

Im not sure how or why, but probably because you all have been so supportive, so I'd like to share with you what i gained from each post

Post 1: Why AI startups should switch
from B2C to B2B: 5 ways to do it

This was a value post initially to promote my B2B AI Directory, so in the Bonus section i had listed my site and a few other AI directories. For the first 2 days, i had received 2 comments, the following week 0 comments

I thought the post was an epic flop

But then after 20 days, all of a sudden there was a surge of comments, around 15+. Many people weighed in on the AI B2B vs B2C, and I would say you guys added more value to the post than I could have

I saw an increase in my sites DA after the post had picked up traction🥳 I'll deffo be looking to post more articles about B2B (I've spent 7 years in the B2B world) and I hope you guys will enjoy it as much as the last post

Post 2: Launching Jello

I did a ProductHunt launch the same day of this post, and whilst im proud of ALL 8 of the upvotes I received on PH, it was ultimately another failure (who's counting?😅). Never the less, i wasn't banking on the PH or IH post to do well, and the many kind words under my IH post were enough to keep me motivated to keep going. I wish i could @ everyone that sent me kind words on the post, well i guess you guys know who you are (thanks a bunch!!!)

Post 3: BuildInDiscord

I have launched an ambitious initiative to try and start a BIP on Discord. It initially started from a bunch of frustrated solopreneurs on twitter who realised that spamming on twitter and kissing X wasn't going to get us anywhere. So we started a small community where we can update each other on work we plan to get done today, and hacks and discoveries we find along the way

It seems a few people have resonated with our frustration at twitter, and so we are currently at 15 members on BuildInDiscord 🚀
