How I made $10K in an hour using AI

Hi folks!

This morning I woke up with an idea in mind and I said to myself 'let's get to work'.

I specify that I am neither a programmer nor an engineer, I am only a bricklayer but once I read a book 'How to become a billionaire by building an MVP'.

I started coding with the help of Chat GPT-4 at 08:25.

After 1 hour my project was finished and fully working.

At about 10:20 I received a call from a well-known digital company in South Sudan (whose name I won't name) who bought my project for $27,000...

Of course it's all fake.

I wrote this post just to say that in my opinion there are too many people in this group who talk bullshit.

Have a nice day everyone!

This post itself also shows everything wrong with indie hackers community nowadays. Including guys trying to ride each wave crypto, nfts, web3.0. It shows that quality of posts here degraded to infinity and beyond if this kind of post can be in top of the page. I miss the old good days when the guys were doing build in public, or had some real insights. I came once or twice per month and see further degradation of quality and clickbaity captions. I would suggest community to report both scummy posts and posts providing no value as low quality/spam.

It doesn't help that recent guests on the podcasts have consisted of 'โ€œDuring a gold rush, sell shovels" cohorts. There's nothing wrong with it, however, it is the thin end of the wedge and before you know it IH becomes WrriorForm lite.

amzn fba ebook peddlers > SEO gurus > SMM > Kindle E-books > AI > ICO > Crypto > Nft > Web3 (don't get me started on nft & web3 lool) and currently it is GPT. I've witnessed every one of those fads come and go. Cringed in terror watching many people repackage themselves as expert at every stage.

Yeah, it's becoming more like Reddit now. My poll on SaaS product pricing went down the drain.

      1. 1

Reddit is way better. Anyone who spams a community with any kind of salesy bs is immediately flagged and posts removed. Ive actually found reddit to be the most valuable community for getting honest customer feedback.

  2. 3

upvoting and commenting for awareness that (like internet) people should stop believing everything posted on indie hackers. :)

and you got me in the first half. :)

  3. 2

lol, very nice! You'd me there with the title๐Ÿ˜‚
But very true also! I would love to see more quality posts with original insights from builders instead of just MRR updates.๐Ÿ™

  4. 2

  5. 2

Love it and agree with the sentiment.

  6. 2

    This is so inspiring!

    Love the shit posting ๐Ÿ˜…

  13. 1

There needs to be more quality control on this website haha

  14. 1

    You got me.
Personally, I would love to read more posts like "How I got to $100 MRR with 1 year of hard work." I feel like this would be more insightful and representative of the norm.

  15. 1

It is true! I want to see more quality posts on the site.

  16. 1

This post is beyond genius. Love it!
I really wish you do make 27K in one morning man ๐Ÿ™Œ

So true! I was listening to the latest IH podcast about how they separated from Stripe. This was probably due to end of free money and the assumption that Stripe would benefit from incremental revenue as developers built new products and integrated with their payments platform. The founders really need to invest time into this community if they want it to succeed, things have definitely gone off track, nothing has improved in years.

Just in case you are tired of fake AI startup MRR, there's a site that aggregates and shows you MRR from other SaaS (and other cool metrics) that are building in public. You might like to check it out: https://microsaasdb.com/

  24. 1

    Hahaha. Nice one!

I have said several times, the only way to have ChatGPT making money for you is by publishing and sell BS like this

It's a relieve finding posts like this one from time to time. Thanks!

    1. 2

That's true, people make money these days but just speaking about chatGPT on YouTube in an avalanche if crappy content that is constantly hitting us.

  25. 1

Yes, It's true, I read lot of posts like this, Making money is not that easy!

  26. 1

We need you on top of the TechCrunch page! What a story, I am truly inspired ๐Ÿ˜„

  30. 1

Love it haha made my day!

  31. 1

This is the best thing i've read since waking up this morning. Thank you.

  32. 1

I knew where you were going from the title.

But i always appreciate this type of post, someone has to speak the truth with a bit of humor.

  33. 1

Haha, it was really amazing! Everyone wants to see such a case study, but in reality, it's only a 1% or less scenario unless you have a product like ChatGPT. We cannot comprehend how much time the ChatGPT team took to develop such a super amazing tool and the amount of money, and resources they have used!

Now, people want to get up, use ChatGPT, and launch the product in the next hour. Then, the following day, they will post about earning $10,000 in one day!

In reality, the situation is entirely different. Factors like research, market competition, product value, product users, product ads, user engagement, management, and much more come into play. Such an ideal situation is only possible if you have a powerful combination of different people, like Superman, Tony Stark, Flash Genius, and many more!

Thanks, this post made my morning! ๐Ÿ˜…

  34. 1

I know how to do this in reali life.

    1. Create a Shopify store.

    2. Spend 50k on FB ads.

  35. 1

Since AI has come about, there are alot of people who like to talk to talk but can't walk the walk. Twitter seems to be particularly full of these folk at present...

  36. 1

Ahaha you got me! :D nice funny moment. thanks!

  37. 1

9999 in your name and 10K in profit seemed correlated.

  38. 0

Why get rich slow... when you can get rich QUICK!?

  39. 0

Agreed!๐Ÿ™Œ It's always refreshing to see honesty in a sea of fake success stories. Keep it real, folks!
