How to describe a product that sounds like a scam?

Over the weekend, I decided to challenge myself to come up with, build, and launch something from scratch.

The Problem:
I have family and friends that are usually pretty broke, and need money from time to time. $25 here, $2500 there.

The Idea:
So the idea was simple, find a way

    Change the name. Sounds scammy.

Make sure it is allowed on Amazons TOS.

Explain Amazon affiliates first, then explain you will credit them.

    Very interesting idea. :)

I don't quite understand, how are you giving money to friends and family without spending any..?

I'm not giving them money, Amazon is. It is basically rewarding my friends and family with a commission on my Amazon purchases. They sign up for Amazon's affiliate program, add their affiliate code to my bookmark, and each time I go to amazon a random person gets chosen to receive the commission.

        There's your answer :)

I agree, this is exactly what you tell people. It's a direct non-salesy explanation of what you do and why you do it.

I see, for starters, I'd say the name is a little scammy :) sorry, just being honest! It makes more sense after you described it though.

By the way if you're looking to gain traction by learning more about your market I have a research service where for $12 you can ask 100 people a question then follow-up based on how they answered and even interview them! https://scoops.io/

Maybe you could ask them "Would you use a service that got your friends to sign up for an affiliate program so everytime you purchased from amazon they'd receive money?" or even - "What do you think of the name WutWutWut?" :)

Anyway just thought it might help. Best of luck!

Thanks for that, I submitted a question. I shall see if this 8 hour project was pointless, or not!
