How to describe a product that sounds like a scam?
Over the weekend, I decided to challenge myself to come up with, build, and launch something from scratch.
The Problem:
I have family and friends that are usually pretty broke, and need money from time to time. $25 here, $2500 there.
The Idea:
So the idea was simple, find a way to give my friends and family money, without actually spending any money.
The Solution:
I built https://wutwutwut.com to "spread the wealth" of my Amazon shopping to my friends and family. They sign up for a Amazon Associates account, and add their "tag" to my "bookmark", then every time I go to Amazon using my WutWutWut bookmark, it would chose a random person on my list to give the commission to. WutWutWut is a service that lets anyone create that "bookmark" and have their friends/family/church/etc., sign up to receive a commission on their purchases.
MY Problem:
I'm having an issue explaining WutWutWut in a way that doesn't sound like my Facebook profile was hacked, or that isn't a phishing expedition. Any advice?

Change the name. Sounds scammy.
Make sure it is allowed on Amazons TOS.
Explain Amazon affiliates first, then explain you will credit them.

I'm not giving them money, Amazon is. It is basically rewarding my friends and family with a commission on my Amazon purchases. They sign up for Amazon's affiliate program, add their affiliate code to my bookmark, and each time I go to amazon a random person gets chosen to receive the commission.

I agree, this is exactly what you tell people. It's a direct non-salesy explanation of what you do and why you do it.
I see, for starters, I'd say the name is a little scammy :) sorry, just being honest! It makes more sense after you described it though.

Maybe you could ask them "Would you use a service that got your friends to sign up for an affiliate program so everytime you purchased from amazon they'd receive money?" or even - "What do you think of the name WutWutWut?" :)
