How to get first 10 enterprise clients?

We are a group of SaaS enthusiasts working from India on a sales engagement platform for mid-market and enterprise clients, we realised selling here locally to mid-market and enterprise client's won't be easy as they don't prefer to outreach much and they don't want to work with early-stage companies. Selling a high volume product really becomes tough remotely. So I wanted to ask the community today what GTM model should we choose?

  1. How to get enterprise or mid-market beta testers for us?
  2. How to get to generate strong and potential leads to sell to?

Thanks a lot, family.
Also, if you have any suggestions regarding sales engagement platforms which you see missing in the current solutions, do let us know.

Getting ten enterprise clients can easily take years. Even getting the first can take 6-12 months. The problems you described regarding India is more or less the same everywhere. So the focus should be to get your first client by using your personal connections: friends, family, ex-colleagues, etc to get a warm introduction. Use the first client to get an introduction to the second client or use them as a reference in your cold outreach. (Since you are working on a sales-related platform you should learn to be very good in sales to be able to convince other people in sales)

I am pretty confident that once I get an opportunity I can really close the deal, but the challenge here for me is, to get to the right person and the right enterprise but I think the warm introduction approach is the best I can go for at this early stage. Thanks a lot for the advice

Quick way: Get trial users as fast as you can. Ideally a mid-size brand. Create a testimonial around the trial project. Measure success. Make this as a case study and upsell your next customer.

Repeat the process until you get someone to pay for it.

My team and I started our first SaaS in social media marketing 5 years ago. We're still using this strategy whenever we make new feature or product line. @rahulrajvanshi

Like you say it is tough. Be prepared to build relationships, which can take many months. Make sure your public image and presentation is as professional as it can be in order to build confidence with the prospects.

There are some good IH interviews which cover this. The Tyler King and Stephanie Hurlbert spring to mind.

Also check out the Rob Fitzpatrick interview on sales for founders, and Liston Witherill also has some great insights on selling to the enterprise customer.
