How to get in tough with your target audience?

Hello Fellow Indie Hackers,

I'm in the process of building my first start up.

After a lot of valuable feedback from indie hackers I refined my idea from this:

• build a new project management tool
• enable time scheduling
• specifically targeted to founders and small start ups

To this:

• Integration tool for existing PM tools
• helps project managers to keep track of the workload of their team members
• improved productvity
• helps PMs to predict the progress and time for a project
• decrease unhealthy stress

So basically I abolished a lot of my initial ideas and switched from adressing founders to adressing Project Managers. Ideally in mid- and large size companies with less ''chaotic'' working days and more structure.

My Question is:
How did you got in tough with your target audience and do you have to tips on how to get in touch with mine?

What are your experiences when approaching people from your target group?
