Hey fellow indie hackers! I wanted to share a recent win we had with our product that I think could be valuable for many of you.
We recently ran an A/B test on our sign-up page, and the results were mind-blowing. Here's what happened:
Our original sign-up page was performing okay, but we knew it could be better. Only 37% of users were completing the sign-up form.
We decided to add testimonial blocks from Senja to our sign-up page.
This entire process took just 5 minutes to implement. It's a low-effort, high-reward strategy that anyone can replicate.
You just need to sync your Reviews from various platforms to Senja and embed it into your site with iframe. That's it.
Tools Used (All Free):
Testimonials: Senja.io
A/B Testing: Mida.so
For those interested, you can check out the live A/B test report here: live interactive report
Has anyone else experimented with testimonials on their sign-up pages? I'd love to hear about your experiences!
Closed my project after a one-week validation. sharing the lesson because i wish i'd known it going in
Great! I am going to steal this for Abun.com!
Please do! Don't forget to also include the testimonial on your main landing page.
thanks! I'm going to try Mida for the first time thanks to this post Donald.
Pretty cool! As someone who likes reviews and has had reviews skyrocket because of it, I highly appreciate this post!
ok, I am going to try it on my project.
That's sound reasoning. Thanks for sharing!
I knew the power of social proof but those numbers speak for themselves. Thanks for sharing man. Very useful
The difference is obvi! I’m definitely trying this one out after I get a few subs from my NEW lead magnet. I had the idea to try this with an old freebie (which is now obsolete), but didn’t because I thought I was doing too much. 🤦🏽♀️
Thanks for sharing! Those are good results indeed. 🙂
One question: did you already have testimonials on the landing page at that point, or were the testimonials during signup the only ones?
Already have it on the landing page.
Testimonial on landing page helps but one problem is most visitors don't scroll far enough to find the testimonial section.
I'm keen to run another A/B test to find out if positioning testimonial section at higher just below the Hero section works better.
Good point — I guess the signup testimonials are in practice the only ones for many visitors.
Nice! Easy to implement and great results — thanks for sharing :)
It really is! Go implement it!
Really valuable Donald! thanks for sharing.
You're welcome!
Thanks for sharing!! Very useful insight. I’m going to try it on my project
It definitely works. We have seen folks actually going through testimonials carousal we have implemented before signing up. We have it on our SignUp page as well. Adding the user image and customer names also helps and build trust.
Great result — thanks for sharing! Do you have any advice on how startups can gather their first reviews?
I've written a guide on it on what works for my startups, which you can check out here: https://www.mida.so/blog/how-startups-can-gather-their-first-reviews
I hope you find it helpful!
Wow! Thanks a lot 🤗
