I created my own SEO tool. Would any of you like to use it?

I created an SEO tool named Outrankio and I have gotten 10 people to signup through Reddit and Indie Hackers, organic traffic, etc., etc and over the course, I have gotten more than 80 signups but still no paid conversions.

You guys can check it out in outrankio.com

I created a

The time frame for which product creates value is long enough that a trial just won't do. A free tier good enough to provide value but to also suggest paid features for increased results might be the way.

But, the trial does have enough value to the point where you can use it as much as you want until the duration of the trial ending

Anything that increases my growth is exactly where I'd be happy to spend money. The same is probably true for anyone else in my situation of having paying customers, high retention and very low costs of supporting customers.

Ironically, you're not in this situation yourself since nobody continues to use your tool. Given that situation, spending more effort making noise via Betalist, a press release, etc, is probably going to be a waste.

Maybe your trial is too short for people to actually get results. You might do better with a freemium model where you limit number of backlinks that can monitored while on a free account. If you're providing value that people are able to make money with, they'll pay.

Don't know why. Loved this line, though it's a simple honest sentence.

No, the problem is getting conversions to paid signups

People are interested given by the signups and bootstrapping can only get me so far if I don't have a steady stream of income to support it.

I have talked to users who signed up and they asked for more features

No, the problem is getting conversions to paid signups

I just explained to you a near sure-fire way to get me (or nearly anyone running a profitable business) to convert to paid. If you provide something that grows my business, which more search engine traffic would, then I'll pay for more of that thing.

It's not a get rich quick scheme but if you set the usage limits at a point where I can get clear value from the free plan but still have an incentive to upgrade, then you'll make money.

bootstrapping can only get me so far if I don't have a steady stream of income to support it.

I totally get that. In the short term, it's way harder to make a living from bootstrapping than from a job or even freelance work. That's why not everybody is doing it! Is there a way you can pick up some work and continue building your project on the side?

I tried to signup but I'm getting an error.

    1. 1

Yeah, I found out that the signup page was broken.

I am fixing it in the process and I will let you know when it's fixed. I am extremely sorry about this
