I Gained $10,020 ARR with ProductHunt!

After preparing for three weeks for our Product Hunt launch for upRive.com, we finally launched on Nov 10th.

Below are the stats received on launch day plus 20 days after.
1,378 People visited the site.
114 Vistors signed up for a trial.
33 Trial users converted to paying users.
$10,020 ARR increase.

What I learned from my experience from the Product Hunt launch:

  1. The number of visitors won't be as many as you'd expect, but the quality will be high.
  2. Invest in a high-quality sales or demo video to get those curious profile visits into site clicks (this paid for itself).
  3. Offer a fantastic sign-up offer to get them to try your product. These are quality people who will improve your product and become loyal users with tremendous feedback.
  4. Focus on live customer support and be available as much as you can to answer questions or concerns.

    Hey Samy,

I love the video, it's a clear and concise way of getting your product info across, did most of your people visitors watch this? I'm thinking of creating something similar for queuey

How do you handle live customer support? Do you use any products like Intercom or Drift?

    Congrats on the ARR!

      Hey Karl,
Thanks! yes, the video was the very first thing people saw in the PH post.

I believe it was the turning point for curious post views to people clicking to learn more about the software.
