After spending years using monitoring tools that felt noisy, overcomplicated, and expensive, I finally decided to build something simpler.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been working almost nonstop on Uptrue — a lightweight monitoring platform focused on useful alerts, clean status pages, and AI-powered visibility checks.
One thing I kept noticing:
Most monitoring platforms are designed for large companies with massive budgets and teams.
But small SaaS founders, agencies, and indie hackers usually just want:
reliable alerts
quick setup
simple dashboards
fewer false positives
and something they can actually afford
So that’s what I’m trying to build.
Recently added:
AI visibility monitoring
WordPress health checks
public status pages
Slack/Teams/Webhook alerts
AI-generated incident summaries
Still early.
Still learning.
Still improving the product daily.
Curious to know:
What’s the most frustrating thing about existing monitoring tools for you?
