Hey Indie Hackers,
Over the years, I've noticed something that happens in almost every company I've worked with.
Employees constantly come up with good ideas.
A process improvement.
A new product feature.
A cost-saving suggestion.
A customer complaint that keeps repeating.
Most of these ideas are mentioned during meetings, shared in Slack or WhatsApp, or discussed over lunch... and then forgotten.
Suggestion boxes rarely work because they're disconnected from the daily workflow, and people often don't know what happened after they submitted an idea.
So I decided to build IdealPulse.
It's an AI-powered internal ideas platform where employees can submit ideas, discuss them, vote on them, and help management identify which ones deserve attention.
The AI helps categorize ideas, generate summaries, identify similar submissions, and surface trends so leadership doesn't have to manually sift through hundreds of suggestions.
The goal isn't just collecting ideas.
It's helping organizations build a culture where employees feel heard and innovation becomes part of everyday work.

I'm currently trying to validate a few assumptions:
Do companies actually want a dedicated ideas platform instead of using Teams, Slack, or Google Forms?
Is AI summarization valuable, or is simple idea collection enough?
Would HR, Operations, or Innovation teams be the primary buyers?
Which feature would make this a "must-have" rather than a nice-to-have?
If you work in a company with 50+ employees, how does your team currently collect internal ideas? Does anything actually work?
One assumption I'd challenge is that the problem is collecting ideas.
Most companies already have more ideas than they can act on. The harder problem is helping people trust that good ideas consistently turn into decisions. If the product becomes the system that makes that process visible, it solves a much bigger problem than idea capture alone.
That is a very interesting perspective, and you're right about the problem of converting good ideas into decision. I'm curious if you can share more light on how this should work in practical ways.
Absolutely—happy to.
I have a few practical ideas, but they're specific to the direction your product is taking, so I'd rather not oversimplify them in a thread.
If you're open to it, what's the best email to reach you on?
Yes, you can reach me at stanwafi@gmail.com
Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.
