I kept telling myself things would take "a few hours." They never did. So I built Waybase.

A few months ago I sat down to build a landing page. My brain said: one afternoon, maybe two. Five days later I was still tweaking button shadows at midnight.

This wasn't new. I've been doing this my whole life: in school, at university, through my first startup. I'd plan a feature for next week and ship it three months later. I blamed complexity, bad luck, poor planning. Eventually I had to admit: it wasn't the tasks. It was me. Specifically, it was my complete inability to estimate how long anything actually takes.

Turns out there's a name for it. Time blindness. It's one of the most common and least talked about symptoms of ADHD, and it quietly wrecks your productivity, your deadlines and your confidence.

I tried everything. Pomodoros helped me focus once I started something. But nothing helped me get more accurate before I started. No app tracked the gap between what I thought and what actually happened. So I built one.

Here's how Waybase works:

Before you start a task, you estimate how long it'll take. A Pomodoro timer tracks reality. At the end you see the gap. Do this across enough tasks and you build a personal time blindness profile, which categories you consistently underestimate, by how much, and over time your estimates actually start improving.

Prioritisation works through the INCUP framework, a research-backed method that scores each task across Importance, Need, Cost, Urgency and Priority. Every morning you get a ranked list based on your mood and how much time you actually have that day. No more staring at 40 tasks wondering where to start.

Where I'm at:

Pre-sale is live at waybase.app. $49 lifetime for the first 20 users. I'm validating before I build, which felt scary but has already taught me more about my audience than six months of building in isolation ever would have.

I'm a solo founder building this in Go as a learning project, 10 hours a week alongside other work. Completely bootstrapped, no outside money, no team.

If you have ADHD, suspect you might, or just consistently lie to yourself about timelines, I'd love your honest feedback on the idea.
