I set out to create the most minimal blogging platform. How did I do?

I love this platform dude. But, do you plan to charge it on future ??

I'm playing around with a model similar to substack where I allow people to release paid content. Either that or add additional features (like an newsletter/emailer system) as a paid addon.

Pretty cool! I, personally would add some design to it. If you're into this kinda stuff, also check my minimalist static site generator https://mkws.sh.

I've had my bearblog on there for a while ;) thanks for the service Herman!

@HermanMartinus - have you ever thought about changing the domain name?

The platform looks really cool, but it seems a little hard to give someone your own personal blog location verbally.

Meaning, if my subdomain is "john", I have to tell someone go to:
    john dot bearblog dot dev

"bear" can be "bare" or "bear" or even "bair"

    Just curious :)

    Regardless - super cool platform!!

Sorry for the late reply Mike. I originally wanted to call it Bare Blog, but thought it sounded too much like a nude website. I have also searched for short domains, a la bear.dev, bare, etc and couldn't find one that I was super happy with that was short.

There is an option to add your own custom domain though, which hopefully makes up for it a bit.

    Love it!

    Definition of no BS!

Do you have plans to charge for it?

Completely got sidetracked and didn't reply to any of these, I apologize.

I'm playing around with some ideas, either to go the substack route and allow people to create paid posts on their blogs (and earn on fees), or to release paid features like a newsletter subscriber/emailer system addon.

It's the only place I blog, so I dig it. 👍
