I want to edit your newsletter for free

Jeff, I feel like your post focuses on the wrong things. Perhaps that's why you haven't had any replies. Most folks already understand what an editor is and why having one might be useful. You should be fighting a different battle in your post.

My suggestions:

Rewrite this post focusing on the tangible, human benefits your potential customers will get if they work with you. Perhaps mention how it will benefit their audience and product. You've listed what you will do, but not articulated why somebody would find it valuable. If I do not have an editor right now and things are going OK, why should I hire one? That's the question you need a good answer for.
Be transparent about your personal incentives and strategy. Are you going to edit a bunch of people's newsletters for free and then hope some of those folks convert into weekly paying customers or give testimonials? Do newsletter writers have budget to buy from you? Are you trying to sell a service or develop a product? Maybe you just want to experiment and share what you learn in public. Say that!
It might work well to ask the Newsletter Crew community for their advice and thoughts on what it would take for them to want to hire an editor and what a good service or product might look like for them, so folks can co-create and give feedback. You could also get an idea of budgets to understand where the price point for an offering like that might be.
