I went down to working 4 days/week to focus 1 day/week on Bountyhunt 🎉

I have been a (failed) entrepreneur for 10 years on the side. I love working on solutions to problems from a technical perspective, polishing the product into something I can be proud of. It's when the full stack comes together into a beautiful piece of software that's actually useful to people, that I really get excited 🤩

I have been blessed with a strong focus. Many people don't finish their projects. I often manage to get around that. Yet, I've kept falling consistently for the past 10 years with all my SaaS products. I've had monthly revenue and I've had customers, but not enough 🙄

So what makes me think it'll be different this time, and I'll succeed?

All the other times I've had a startup, I've never actually dared to commit my full time to it. It's always been an on-the-side thing. I have always admired everyone else for their courage when going full-time on their project and taking huge risks, but I crave security and safety. I hate debt, and I am afraid of losing control to potential investors.

I know what you're gonna say. "No risk, no reward" or something along those lines, right? I know, I know... I just can't help it 😅

But now, I am taking the next step. I have reduced my full-time position of 37 hours a week (5 days a week) to 4 days a week. My Fridays will now be fully committed to my next startup, bountyhunt.io (which I'll build in public, by the way).

I know it sounds silly. But for me, it's a big deal. It's enough to make it feel serious and give me that sense of security. In addition, my salary is going down 20% for it, so it's enough to bring the pain forward and motivate me even more.
