I've doubled traffic to my site using f5bot
Go to f5bot.com and plug in your competitors and / or relevant keywords. For example I'm tracking "visualping" and "website changes" to name a few.

Whenever you get an alert, check out the post, if it's relevant gently plug your product.

Rinse and repeat.
Most of our recent traffic has been gained this way.
