This week out of no where I decided to suck it up and start cold calling prospects. Given my niche and expertise in the industry it really isn't super hard to get a conversation started. However, being an introvert, I normally hate the idea of calling people (even my friends).
Well, given my success this week with cold calling I'd say I'm quickly breaking that fear.
In 5 cold calls since yesterday afternoon I have:
- 3/5 picked up
- 2/5 scheduled a demo
- 2 voicemail
More importantly, I gathered a lot of feedback and learned a lot more about my potential clients which is very important as I continue to determine my sales process. I feel like that is a really good start and now I wonder why I waited. I'm so motivated to keep going!
What is your favorite cold calling strategy?
