Give me feedback on my landing page and I'll return the favor within 24 hours.
I'm slowly improving the landing page each month (https://www.indiehackers.com/post/feedback-for-my-landing-page-for-a-discovery-platform-5e82b820b6) and releasing information about the project in a methodical manner.
Landing Page: https://www.funmetric.co/invite-only
The funny thing I've noticed is I'm converting people, but some of the feedback I've gotten from "experts" states I should stick to a niche.
I'm honestly confused by that sentiment, but men lie, women lie, numbers don't.
Hi Greg -
On the page, it goes right into the How it works section, but I dont really know who its for until I start scrolling towards the bottom. Then when I came back to the top of the page I saw the tag line at the top right. This could just be me or it might be beneficial to put something before the how it works to introduce what is actually is/what the problem (I'm meeting you for the first time). Perhaps even moving the tag line out of the header onto the page or elaborating a bit on when/why I would use this.
I didn't understand this.. ( If you're a diehard sports fan, we have the music selections to match your tastes based on your favorite sports team. ) Was that saying so if someone selects a certain team, the taste index will do its thing & tell me music associated with that sport or team?
Overall, when I first landed on the page I couldn't pick up right away what fun metric was really all about. As I read through it started to become more clear but as you know, pple have such little attention spans these days so just a thought in case to further lower any bounce rates.
General layout / color are all good.
@KiranBaj I agree with pretty much everything you said and I thank you for giving me this feedback.
I will most likely move the tagline based on your suggestion in May with the next update.
Yes, but it's a bit more involved than that behind the scenes, but say you are voting on your favorite Football Clubs the system will determine based on that information if your not big on music or have not touched music to give you recommendations based on your sports taste and vice versa.
For your final point, there are multiple layers to the project and 1 landing page will not convey it all. There are plans to have specific landing pages focusing on a few of the features individually.
Right now I'm just taking notes on how people react. This project is more an experience than something that can be easily described, though I will say I'm not the best marketer so there are always things to learn.
Thank you again.
