Looking for advice to help me promote my freelancing marketplace
Hi! Do you have any advice for promoting a freelance marketplace (https://www.indiehackers.com/product/goodlancers) - I'm creating goodlancers.com and here are my conclusions so far:

Facebook ads - brought me >1200 likes but almost none of those people are the "right target group" - despite I made a target group, Facebook was displaying ads to irrelevants people and that's why I have lot's of followers in age 65+, non IT :) That's why I will not use FB ads anymore.

Seeding info on FB groups - it brought few likes and some registrations

Indiehackers and news.ycombinator.com - nothing to say so far - no likes, no registrations :)

I'm going to hire SEO expert among freelancers to position page at Google

Do you think that Google Ads are a good thing to promote now?
#1 and #2 for the short term and #4 for the long term, just my personal suggestion.

I don't have a specific recommendation about points you raised, but what I can recommend anyway is changing email from @gmail.com to a @goodlancers.com. Anywhere I see a @gmail/wp/onet email address, it looks like a toy project to me.

@TomaszLuchowski Ok, well noted and fixed - now everywhere contact@goodlancers.com :) although I have some issues with smpt mails sending via zoho so it still remains gmail...hmmm...have to work no it
Congrats for launching this. If you are looking for SEO, then DM me. I would like to talk with you.
I'll suggest to focus on organic growth.
Retaining the current clients, talking to them, taking feedback, asking for referrals.
Also, there is good scope of improvement in website, making it clear, trustable, and less cluttered.
Doing SEO for organic traffic + writing blogs, writing in forums etc etc might work well IMO
@sagarludhiyani3 thanks for feedback! I will try to make some organic growth and gather feedback - acually I'm sending an email to everyone who registered succesfuly with a question what do they think about the portal - so far I had no response which is really bad...
What do you mean with "less cluttered" - did you refer to landing page? I think you are not among registered users so I think that landing page :)
For email - in my knowledge, the response depends mostly on what you sending, when you sending, and who you sending. Difficult to share the reason for no response without all the context.
Yes, I mean for the landing page. There is a good scope to make it conversation optimized.
