Looking for Indian Tech Founder - to create a Bigger and Better JustDial
Hey All,
I'm a product leader, working on an idea on the side (very early stage) and plan to start experimenting and validating PMF.
I've been considering using no-code tools for the experiment phase, but realise that have low-code or code might be a better option.
Hence looking for a tech co-founder.
TLDR: Create an easy-to-use platform that would help users find the best of x (where x is any business) near me. The business listing on the platform is created by the owner of the business. And the listing is rated/reviewed by the users of the platform.

Your competition is Google Maps. That's already a massive L to you. Plus google maps isn't an individual product but integrated across the google ecosystem. It has user generated content in the form of reviews, images, ability to add and remove local business.
JustDial is owned by Reliance so they will survive but they themselves aren't doing any good. A better sector is B2B marketplace like Indiamart

Google maps has business listings but does not optimize the experience per category.
Also, they have a very bad rep about quality/genuinety of their reviews.
Also, anecdotally - the accuracy of google maps data on Indian businesses is very low. Could also be due to the fact that businesses don't update that often. Another aspect that smaller / more targeted companies like this idea can focus on ensuring businesses are updating it regularly. (That is what Yelp also does)
While they are a listing platform for businesses, the quality of content is really low.
I agree - JD will survive but their experience and reputation is really bad. As a business as well as consumer.
Also, I feel (personal opinion) most users who still use it only do because they don't have another option - and that is another reason to make this?
I agree - b2b marketplace is also a good idea. But much tougher to solve for - will take a lot of time to start getting meaningful UGC/ ratings/reviews.
