tldr: do you struggle to stay motivated as an IndieHacker?
I'm a software engineer who quit his job about a year ago to try start my own business. 4 projects later, it's been a mixed bag. I've learned a lot about what drives me to work on things and the importance of mood and consistency. I thought once I got rid of the day job it would be easy to have the "energy" to work on my own businesses. Turns out it is much more complex than that. I was wondering how many of you struggle to stay motivated? Would love to hear from others about this. How big of a problem is this for you? What do you do to stay motivated? What mindset have you found works for you? Where would you go to find information or help on something like this?
I've received my fare share of good advice from IH on a similar thread: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/constant-interest-shifting-has-been-my-kryptonite-cb1757ecc7
I keep notes on my fridge and bathroom mirror with short poignant reminders of why I am doing what I'm doing. It's a small thing but seeing these everyday helps keep me on track.
