My first 12 in 12 project launched today

The project is a bit silly, but I am working on the muscle of building, launching, and promoting.

My rules for the challenge are simple:

  1. Each month launch a product
  2. It has to be paid. No freebies.
  3. I have to spend as much time promoting it as I did building it.

For this first launch, I launched iWillDrawYouADinosaur.com

Made my first sale from a friend who saw my post on Facebook.

I launched it on ProductHunt (https://www.producthunt.com/posts/i-will-draw-you-a-dinosaur), and I am working on finding other communities it would be valuable to post in.

We will see how it goes. Dinos for life!

Well done, looks very cool @joshdance

    Would you recommend Lemon Squeezy?

I would recommend Lemon Squeezy. Their support was pretty quick, it is simple to setup. Stripe integration was pretty painless. And they don't charge you a base fee when you have no sales. Everything is a percentage of sales.

I don't know enough about it to compare it directly to Gumroad but they both seem like great options to use.

Cheers, just a play around with Lemon Squeezy and it seems pretty nice.

Fingers crossed you get some sales!

Thanks! I know a lot of people who do the 12 in 12 stop when they find something super successful. So that would be the only reason I don't finish the challenge. :)

I have a half finished site tracking my progress here - https://www.joshdance.com/12-products-in-12-months/ - I will finish it up in a few days and continue to post about it there.

Exciting. Good luck. I wrote about Pieter Levels’ 12 in 12. Cheers, Phil… https://abitgamey.substack.com/p/our-startup-in-7-steps

Update: Made another 3 sales. Peoples creativity is awesome. One person wants their cat as a dinosaur, another wants their kid holding a lightsaber riding a dinosaur. Very fun!

Update: Made two sales today which is really fun.
