A couple of months ago I shared my story here My first Book Pre-sale ever.
In summary, I have been blogging for some time and decided to publish a book.
Many people suggest making a presale to test the product, and that's what I did.
During these past two months, my book sold, up to this day, a total of $418, 22 paying customers for the fixed price of $19.
Today I finally released the first version of Python Fundamentals. The book is 300 pages long and covers a lot of ground.
This may don't seem much but as someone with a full-time job as a software engineer, selling anything online for the first time ever, this was a great motivator and experience to try even more stuff.
The book will remain available for anyone who finds my blog renanmf.com and is just my first step in creating an online income.
I already have ideas for a SaaS and a course on web dev or machine learning to follow the book.
Thank's to the Indie Hackers community for the inspiration, I hope my story inspires someone as well.
Welcome to the club! 🤩
When making the first dollar online it truly acts like a drug in the way that it fuels the motivation to such lengths that one will just keep going.
The same methodology is also used in passive income communities. Here on IH anything that makes recurring revenue I would consider to be part of the passive income genre and that’s the ultimate goal to have money work for you instead of against you.
Congrats on the book sales! 🎉🥳
thank's =D
Now I'm back to my list of ideas to pick the next one.
