I started by documenting my reasons for building in public.
which in short are.
- I don't think I learn much on my own if I don't have a project
- I believe it's better to teach people about things by showing them.
- It keeps me humble to share my failures
Congrats! Be sure to use #buildInPublic on Twitter. I recently started building in public as well and it seems to work great to connect with other founders that are building in public.
I can only agree. With the hashtag you can find a lot of software developers and like-minded people!
top tip. It's just taken me several weeks to get my hacked twitter account back so I should start using it :)
Awesome, good luck!
Great attitude! I think, building in public makes you much faster, because you can get a lot more direct feedback, which helps you learn.
Congrats on your journey and all the best here!!
Your right best of luck for your work!
thank you
Thanks for sharing! I hope to start building in public soon too. I've been working on a small project, it's almost finished, just need to take the next step and release it to the world 😅
good luck with it.
Thanks!
Great post Rob! Just followed you on Medium.
And, coincidentally just wrote a post about one of the biggest advocates for Build in Public - Sharath and on how he successfully sold his startup after 2 years.
There is so much power in storytelling - it is amazing. I wish you all the best!
this issue was with me.https://interiordesigns.ae/
Great article Rob! I'd like to take the leap and build in public soon too. All the best.
Guys ! Great job ! Very useful tool !
There are several platforms you can use to build in public, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and personal blogs. Consider which platform aligns with your goals and target audience.
Create a plan: Develop a content plan that outlines what you will share and how often. This could include progress updates, challenges, lessons learned, or insights into your process.
Start sharing: Begin posting updates and sharing your journey with your community. Be consistent, transparent, and engage with your audience by responding to comments and feedback.
Good luck! Do you already know what you're going to build?
The images which you have used on your medium blog, from where you got them? If AI, share the prompt
thanks for giving me my first opportunity to build in public by sharing something :)
